Children: House Captains

Our 2019-2020 House Captains
Every week in class we are given house points for our behaviour, effort, manners and work. Teachers, MDSAs, teaching assistants and any adult working in the school who sees you might give you a house point or two! The house points are collected by the house captains and vice captains each week. They are then added onto the overall total. The house with the most points that week is awarded with extra play time! At the end of a term, the winning house overall gets a special treat.
Our four school houses are Matthew (green), Mark (yellow), Luke (Blue) and John (red). See below to find out who our house captains and vice captains are for 2019 - 2020.

According to our Bible, St Matthew, was one of the twelve apostles of Jesus and also one of the four Evangelists. St. Matthews feast day is 21st of September (Western Christianity) and the 16th of November (Eastern Christianity). Matthew was born in Galilee and raised by his father called Alpheus but little did Matthew now that he was going to become a Saint
Interesting fact: Did you know that you only become a Saint after you die!
Luke

The Gospel Luke contains popular stories like the Good Samaritan and the Prodigal Son. In Luke over 35% of the stories can only be found in Luke. Only 3% of stories are exclusive to Mark, in addition Matthew have a much higher percent of 20%.

The Gospel John contains popular stories about the prologue of John. Over 90% of John's gospel is unique to him. The gospel according to John commonly referred to the gospel of John and often referred in the New Testament scholarship as the fourth gospel. Recent Christian scripture has placed John within a first-century Jewish context.
